How the Herald-Leader covered (uncovered?) Lexington's annual nude art show.
This is a simple, clean cover that my colleagues say "got a lot of phone calls." Word is that more people were upset by the tattoo on her arm than the nudity.
This is a Herald-Leader staff favorite. These artists posed almost-kinda nude behind letters they designed for this Arts & Life cover. In fact, only one was fully nude. Can you guess which?
I wasn't working at the Herald-Leader when this cover was published, but we clearly discovered why the Mona Lisa smiles...
Seventeen people volunteered to strip down inside Loudoun House so photographer Mark Cornelison could shoot this photo. We could only fit a few in, but it made for a memorable work day. We got a few complaints, particularly from teachers who use the newspaper in classes, but chuckles and compliments were easier to come by.
